Only driven on weekends... and never in rain... <iframe src="http://player.vimeo.com/video/14798075?title=0&byline=0&portrait=0" width="569" height="320" frameborder="0"></iframe>
Very cool but damn I miss my 38 now :-(, was my daily driver rain, hail or shine for about 10 years. Doc.
Ryan - glad to see you got your '39 Tudor back on the road ... but I gotta say, the audio scared me a bit at the 00:17 mark of the video ... thought for sure you had another engine issue ... until I realized it was just the intro to the song
And never on the date of Hank Willams death. What was that quote? I remember it in Street Rodder or something right? I'm glad you still have that car.
Those of us in the 60's all had one car. Our hot rods were all we had, so if it was raining you drove your rod. We didn't know anything different. I had a mechanical driver-operated windshield wiper, so besides steering and rowing the Muncie, I had to operate the wiper. Windows? Who could afford windows? Much of the charm of driving hot rods is missed by taking a regular car on rainy days. Our cars were our only transportation, so staying home in bad weather was never considered. The smell of fresh rain splattering on your un-weatherproofed tin and wearing a slicker to drive your car is a joy worth having. Fun stuff.........they are not museum display items, they are cars...gotta drive 'em Cool
Don't you have some sort of shiny black coupe with a hot small block that would like to go for a drive too???? Glad you got the flatty fixed. -Abone.
Hot Rods have taught me that you only use hand signals in the rain ONCE if your car is fenderless. Who would have thought those front tires move 4.3 gallons of water persecond!? And that it ALL will fit down your outstretched coat sleeve!
