Out of (521) produced - only (7) remain.

This is one of the finest restored examples.

Found mostly complete in original condition
in California - this received a complete restoration from the owner who never intended to sell it.

But one day he got an offer he couldn’t refuse ....

I am on my way to New Orleans, Louisiana
to deliver it to its new home in a private museum.

I will be stopping at The 2021 Chickasha Swap Meet on March 19th and 20th where I will be set up under a tent.

I will have membership forms - books - t shirts for The Early Ford V-8 Foundation Museum and The Model T Ford Club Of America.

Thats a neat piece of history there, Would like to see some pics of the truck behind it. Looks right, like something to build. You get to handle some pretty nice stuff Jim.

 

That A is technically a Ranchero before there were Rancheros. Probably was too high dollar an option for a towing company. That's why they were rare to begin with.

 

I was kinda confused, because the car "featured" in the first picture is obviously a Model "T". Then the second post confused me even more. It wasn't until I took a second look at the tow truck that I figured it out (after @alchemy posted.)

 

The vehicle in front is a
1912 Model T Touring
that has been “ hot rodded “
and can do 60 mph with ease ....

The 1931 Ford AA Wrecker/Tow Truck is
behind it.

This is a full load for me because there is
a period towbar that came with the truck
(not pictured) that is inside the trailer.

I am stopping in Albuquerque tomorrow morning to show both vehicles to the local
MTFCA Club & some other local car club
members.

Every 1912 Ford Touring car left the factory with front doors, ( it was a sales point) they just look odd to me with them removed. Bob

 

No point in having a door on the left hand side because of the spare tire mount.

I think it looks cool to have both front doors removed.

It balances out the front and it makes it easier to enter and exit.

I saw the one in the swap meet at Hershey, a friend in New Canaan, Ct. had THE BEST restored one with all the MARC awards to prove it , now the photos of this red one, that's three. Unusual, but what are you really ever going to do with one? Put some front doors on they '12 T and you would have something. Bob

 

Presumably only seven are "known to collectors", and of course there may be more of them somewhere.
(You can't prove a negative).

Arrived Thursday afternoon before the gates opened for vendor set up.

Got the wrecker unloaded & drove it over to the blacktop space.

Friday morning some friends showed up at dawn & helped tow the
1912 Model T Touring
over to the adjacent space.

Great pics!! We had a ton of AA trucks out in the middle part of Ks. But only ever saw 1 wrecker and None of the fancy bodied ones. And most were 28-29's. Thanks for the ride! Lippy

 

Jim, To me, it doesn't really matter if there is only 7 or 700, that is the prettiest AA truck I've seen in a long time. Even if it is a stock wrecker!! I would not kick either if those Fords outta bed for eating crackers,,,,,if you know what i mean. Mitch

 

The claims are made by the Seller
who found the vehicle in California
and personally restored it.

What evidence do you have to contradict
other other that your uneducated opinion ?

If you bother to read the actual breakdown
of models sold in the link provided in
in the earlier post - (214) bodies were
sold equipped with the cradle & crane.

I don’t know what it is with the
Attitude some of you guys on
here have - seems all you do
is question without any basis other
than a shitty attitude.

My friend found this & restored it.
I trust what he tells me.

in The Montana 500 ( an endurance run of
modified stock Model T cars
covering 500 miles ).
