Yes the boosters are dripping when I bring it up slow in neutral, but it's smooth. I don't think there is a valve open, it ran great before I swapped to the tunnel ram. I don't have a vaccum gauge, but I can borrow one later today.

texoutsider- also...make it run on the FRONT carb first, but you need them all to run together, not just one

I was told to run it on the back carb, since the front barrels on the back carb are closer to the front cylinders than the front barrels on the front carb are to the rear cylinders.

I'm thinking I may end up running them together with straight linkage and smaller shooters in both carbs if I can't get them sorted out progressively.

Apparently this car just enjoys toying with my mind. I took the primary carb apart again, to find the main jets plugged with crap, don't know what or from where but that was the culprit. Got it all back together and it ran like a champ. Tire smoke everywhere, great response, no bogs nothing.

Notice I said ran. Got about half way home and decided to do some WOT testing coming off a traffic light, and when I let up it wouldn't idle. Acts the same as before, but on the idle circuit not the main circuit. It idles crazy now, anywhere from 1600 to trying to die. Got it home and gave up. My guess is that the culprit is the same hidden crap deposit from before, that I can't seem to find.

Oh well, the saga continues, but with more fun since it's at least sorta driveable.

P.S. This thing is nuts with dual quads, there's a big power gain, when it's working right.

I had a similar problem with my Comet a couple of weeks ago...........the sending unit was full of crap, pull yours out and check to see if it's clogged.

Sounds like you need to start by getting a good filter and flushing out the fuel line and and every passage in the carbs. Then go at it some more.
