how do you guys run a compression test on your hemis? does anyone offer an adapter or extension to attach your gauge to or do you guys sacrifice a plug and weld a piece of pipe to make your own?

get a real compression tester, they have a long hose that screws into the plug hole.

Screw the adapter onto the hose tightly and then screw the ***embly in the plug hole by gripping the upper end of the hose. Do not screw it in very tight- the o-ring seal does not require much torque to seat it against the head.
