1952-59 Ford Computer help needed

I have Windows XP and all my pictures are stored in "My Pictures" I can post pics no problem on the general board by clicking on "browse" but to post here on groups it wants a url, the pics in "My Pictures" or my Adobe Photo file do not have a url so is there a way to do it ?

Ok, here's a quick tutorial:

If you want to post pics in a message...
1) Go to the website called imageshack (google it)
2) In the upper right hand side of the page, you will find a ****on that says "browse", click on this. This will take you to where your files are stored so you can find the pic you would like to post.

3) Once you find the find the file you want, click open- this will put your file in the window to the left of the browse ****on.

4) Next, click "start upload" at the bottom of the box. Youe image will appear in a box to the left. You're almost done.

5) scroll down toward the bottom of the page. you will see 4 boxes- you want the top one that says "hotlink for forums 1". Highlite the address and copy it.

6) Go to your HAMB message, paste it in the message box hit submit.

It should redirect you to the thread you were on and you will see your post with the image. If you want text in the post, just write it before you drop in the pic- that's the easiest.

I shot a pm off to Ryan,in the near future they will try to make the social group photos work like the posting on the main board so you can just click "browse" and post.

 

I haven't tried posting pics that way, I use photobucket and it works pretty good. I'll have to try this way (above). I have Vista , has anyone had problems doing pics with it?

 

I wish I could take credit for the computer tip. My girlfriend showed me how to do it-she's really good like that.
