Very nice looking , both cars!!!! I live in Owasso, Oklahoma, ten to fifteen miles west of Claremore! Keep us posted on the build!
Hey Glen, your 48 is in my home town now, In fact Frank and i followed each other to GoodGuys Pleasanton about a month ago, He's a nice guy and takes super good care of your ol' 48..,,,But you know that already !
I love Buicks so much I built a site devoted to them called www.buickstreet.com back in 2002. Still up and running (hasn't been updated for a long while) and still getting tonnes of traffic. Buick - fast with class.
I unfortunately missed the boat on the build thread of the 48 but damn the finished product is beautiful. Some inspiration as I re-start the build up on my '50 DeSoto, I'm keeping my on the the 50 build!
That car is very nice. I always wanted the same one! I found a 1950 buick super sedan and will be starting on it soon. Mine is considerably more rough than yours. Sure to be good times. Congratulations on finding one so nice.
very choice 48 & 50 Buick sedanet, fastback, slantass or swayback guess it all depends on your location Buick's i had two 47 Specials, 47 Super & a 49 Super all fastback's
Nice. If I had to choose any one model to build, it would be a '50 Sedanette just like yours. Now make us all proud! (And looking at your '48 I'm guessing that you will.)
I am looking forward to the progress Glen. That '48 has driven me nuts for a long time now. Keep up the good work. What are your plans for it? Long live the Buick.
I've have a 49 Sedanette I picked up back in the early 90's that I work on when things get slow or I'm waiting on parts for other projects. I have all the body work done, the bright stuff rechromed, a MII front installed and a 455/400 ready to go in. You can see it in the background of the 33 Dodge build I have up on the message board. I'll look forward to your build on the 50. Plans are to actually finish the 49 this year.
there are some pictures in the link in my signature. Nothing radical, the car is very cool as it is. It is in much better condition than my 48 so I will leave it more original. It just needs a perfect paint job and an upholstery job by Glenn Kramer. I am working on a 66 Nova right now, so the Buick will have to wait for a little while.
Glenn, I followed the 48's progress on the RRT. Just love the way it turned out -the interior, too. It didn't hurt that green is a fav. color. The 50's already green. You'll have to switch that up, maybe.
