That 55 Customline gives me wonderful ideas. Mostly stock, but with just enough touches.

Mr. Foster (Cole would be too familiar of a tone)
The 36 is...well there aren't any words for it, and I have only seen pictures.
    Congrats

Oh man... that 55 is incredible... I love it. Isn't that Rob's chevy?

In my opinion, Cole's '36 is the most important car built in the past 40 years... Maybe not to everyone, but certainly to me. There are so many things about that car that don't translate to photography. Fit and finish is simply incredible. That's not custom work fellas, that's coach work.

Which '55, the Ford or the Chevy? And yes, that's my blue car. I was super stoked to be picked for a finalist in Del Mar, even though I knew there was no beating MetalliCoupe. (If I had a shop, maybe I could'a used this opportunity to self-promote in light of somone else's glory? Nah, who'd do a thing like that...) Was hoping to drive out to Scottsdale with Cole next week, but my car's about to endure the Perfect Storm along with his newest bike and Devil Deuce for the next 3 weeks! I'll be thumbing it if I end up going.

I'm guessing you mean the Ford. It is incredible and one of my absolute favorites from this past season. Here are some more pics.

    BTW that is Rob's Chevy.

It's sorta ironic that the '55 Ford is really in no way a "kustom". Literally, you'd be more apt at naming it a "hot rod". Nevertheless, and despite my dislike for '50s-'60s FoMoCo products, it's a beautiful car...I wouldn't kick it out my garage for eatin' crackers.

Nice cars. Man it must be a tough decision, but I agree on the winning pick.

They don't call 'im "King Cole" for nothin'...Still, it might be nice to see him make a mistake once in a while. Nothing BIG - but maybe, like trip over a crack in the sidewalk or choose the wrong fork at Sizzler. SOMETHING.

  11. Goodguys has an early and late truck classification. They may consider an Early Kustom 35 to 48 and Late Kustom 49 to 59 classification .Put these two very different styles and builds into their designated time periods.Maybe then we would see some significant later kustoms that have been built in the last 40 years. That`s just my opnion, I`ve built 3 shoeboxes and 3 -56 Mercs as Kustoms and this roadster was definitely the biggest challenge. Timewise and stylewise, completely different approach and execution to get to the finished product.
The Buick rag and the two-tone Chevy are certainly at the top of my list. There is two cars missing?? I thought there was 6 or is it 7.At the top of this page Kirk said 7, where is the pics of the other 2?? TBJ
