I know little stuff adds up. Just make mental notes of what u need and buy it , When you have a chance. Keep rotating stock,All the time.Don't even think about the prices. Otherwise you'll find yourself working at Mc'Donalds and buying a car done.

-2 trips to the ER for metal in the eye (only one had to get drilled)
    -2 broken fingers
    -1 broken thumb
-3 broken toes (very heavy-set friend helping me on the stomp sheer)
    -god knows how many burns
Yes, I know how much THAT stuff costs.

  6. #### I had an old dude tell me that the sticky stuff on electrical tape was a secret ointment and would heal cuts and so-forth quicker so you can toss out the band-aids and buy more electric tape !! >>>>.

  7. I started the build on my 33 P/U in mid Jan. I had the cab, (chop was done) steel for the ch***is, most of the suspension ft and rear. rear wheels and motor and trans. I figured 3 months and 3 grand to get it running and driving. I'm now into it 6 months & 5 grand.(I did add a lot of chrome and polished aluminum. to the build)
I think I have a grand to go, and another 6 weeks. If I only double both of those figures I'll be a happy man!

None of these figures include drugs and ******s!

I bought a new WF Wells Bandsaw 20+ years ago and made a deal that included 12 Bi-metal Starrett Blu-mol Blades, use the saw a lot, still have 6 blades. one of the secrets is good coolant. :)

I worked for a company that ran a dry machine shop. No coolant. Just stupid.

For band saw blades just buy spools and use a blade welder. Most big band saws have one on it.

Oh, I'm with the other guys.....Bandaides?

Hell no....CO-PAYS and the resultant "We're only paying this much and you can pay the rest"

What really pisses me off is when I use all of my PPE and STILL end up in the ER....

Case in point, I hadda chunk of slag go through my safety gl***es.....and imbed itself in my eye....Now I wear a set of safety gl***es AND a full face sheild...granted had I not been wearing gl***es I woulda lost my eye but still....

Not when it comes to sand paper , cut off wheels and items like that . I buy when I need them , that's just one of those things you gotta have !
