    Of course you could keep it real simple and just take the first letter of each word in your name Acme Speed Shop and have

    A.S.S. Clea... well you get the idea

    Good point FuelFC...though there is a certain speed shop in Austin that sometimes refers to itself with the same acronym...figured a little humor wouldn't hurt

    So if I am reading you right this is Mark-V product that you are re-naming ?

    What ever you name it - before you have any grand opening, make damn sure the name has NOT been already taken and trademarked or you will have done a lot of work for nothing !

    Sincerely - would hate to see you have tardemark/ copy right name problems.

    Go to your local Pep Boys, Carquest, Adnaced, Oreily's and look at all the products that you mentioned PLUS to make sure you aren't using the same and get a hold of the trademark name listing.

    You have a LOT of work to do in a very short period of time.

    BTW- Slick Wax /Slick Shine is already taken and copyrighted

    Just some friendly business advise.

    And the WINNER IS......sgtlethargic.

    After much deliberation as to the direction we wanted to go, we agreed with Sargent Lethargic (great handle by the way) to Keep it simple and direct by calling them exactly what they are. So that is what we did.

    There were some other good names (and some really bad ones too), but we really appreciate the suggestions from everyone.

    Here are the names:

    ACME INSTANT DETAILER
    ACME INTERIOR CLEANER
    ACME LEATHER AND VINYL DRESSING
    ACME SPRAY WAX
    ACME CREAM WAX

    We will be sending out the detail kit to Sargent Lethargic as soon as we finish up our labels and packaging. ALSO we will be putting up a few kits and other goodies on a HAMB Auction with the proceeds going to Ryan/Jalopy Journal and the HAMB.

    Thanks for playing along everyone and sorry it took us so long to post this up. It is busy here at ACME getting ready for Viva and LSRU. And THANKS RYAN for letting us do this on the board!

    Well alright! Ha ha. I'd like to have the detail kit H.A.M.B.-auctioned in my name. Frankly, I don't use too many products, and I could stand to score some good points with Ryan. :D
