After reading all the responses to the ElCamino post, let me clarify. I haven't seen or talked to Ryan in years. See his Dad around town every once in a while, but otherwise... One night I was looking at '30's model coupes on the internet. Anyways I came across a feature car in Rod&Custom and his name was attached. Not knowing that he was so involved (it's been more than 15 years since we hung out) I emailed him and asked. Sure enough it was. I found about this site and here I am. This is such a small niche (car building and customizing) that we should band together. Will I ever build a '38 Ford Coupe? Probably not. I have a 2 year old, one on the way, and a business to run. I don't have time. Will I ever buy one? Probably not. I like late 60's and early 70'. I do however like reading some of the technical stuff so don't kick me off. One of these days I might just outbid your ass on the Coupe of your dreams on Ebay. I think I'll hang around.
You got a buddy who will clue you in. The "disease" will get you and you'll wind up with at least one badass vehicle. Make no more excuses for yourself!

Yea, I got a buddy like that. Keeps saying he's gonna sell all those damned old cars and parts and just travel. Been hearing that for about 15 years now. He still has 5 deuces & a killer fleetside or two and still manages to snap up every loose part in the state before I can get to it. Face it, you've been drawn into the dark side. Very rarely will you be bidding against any of us on a finished hotrod. Most of us get more enjoyment in building them than owning and driving them. If you're not interested in owning one or building one, why even be here?? The only thing you will learn is how to build traditionally. If your precious time is so important to you, I agree..go back to YOUR business and make your dream income. Then you can buy whatever it is you like.
