Convertable Top Pump "weak"

My convertable top had a hard time opening my top and now it only starts to close and then stops about a third of the way up. Does anyone have any experience with this as far as where to start or what to look for? By the way its a 67 Impala

 

Check the fluid in the reservoir, and lube the linkage pivot pins. Low fluid is he single most common cause of hydraulic woes.
