The stall speed will be the same (***uming the definition of stall speed as when the car is not moving). But it will feel "looser" in a heavier car, and "tighter" in a lighter car...at part throttle.... Some of the Drag Week guys have learned this the hard way, their 4500 converter was fine, until they stuck a trailer behind the car, and cooked the transmission
Call your cam guy and see what he recommends then call some of the better converter places and see what they say. Swade 41 is right.If they don’t ask you all the questions,move on.Most important,tell the truth about your combination.Do not tell them it’s a race car if you go to the track a few times a year,and make 1000HP and 800 ft lbs of torque just to impress the guy on the phone.
