We are working on getting my wife's Studebaker Lark ready for a new top. The top is at the upholstery shop ready to get installed when I am ready / he has an opening. The old top was stored down and damaged by rodents so it needs to go ASAP.

In the mean time I want to get the mechanism adjusted and working properly. We got the hydraulics all sorted out and leak free the other day.

As far as adjustments go, I just want to double check that I am doing this right.

First adjust doors, windows, and window stops.

Then with top down and adjusters loose adjust the top to fit the quarter windows and lock it down.

Adjust any other linkages and cycle top to check function and alignment.

Then the upholstery guy fits the top to the frame?

Basically fit the frame to the car, then the top to the frame, right?

Just trying to make sure my head is screwed on straight here.
