After about 10 years of hunting I finally found em. Man what a good feeling. Grateful for the chance to buy some. I also picked up some cool drilled backing plates that came off of one of Tom Cobbs rods direct from his estate. It’s been a great weekend with my pops. Happy Father’s Day! If anyone has a matching 18x8 inch Firestone Indy tire I’d love to buy it. I would love to run these original tires. Made it past a big hurdle now I can start pushing hard to finish the rod.

Been trying to collect parts. I got married a few weeks ago so I have been busy with all of that. But now that things are settled down I’m ready to dive back in! Thanks for following along.

Call Speedway and ask to talk with someone in the Museum about another INDY tire. Project is rolling along nicely. Congratulations on the marriage. Bob

There a couple Indy tires in the Roadster Swap pics last weekend. Anyone know about those? Looked like 18’s to me.

Decided I like the look of the star pattern better. Took the grinder to them.

  15. Excellent build! I love seeing your metal work and how easy you make it look. Your attention to detail is incredible! I have a high attention to detail and can see how much you have done to make everything look so seamless! I am loving your new brake parts
And the bomber seat belts you just got. Those type of period correct things really set this build apart! Keep up the good work.

Thank you so much! Thanks for taking the time to comment. It’s fun to hear from other hot rodders and great people. Gives me a little kick in the butt to work harder. I was really happy with the parts. Now time to find a cool period seats!
