Cool deal Jeff. I myself have the Petronix on my Fords dizzys and have never had a problem with them. This is a great alternative set up for conversion. Thanks for posting.

On my SBF and BBF cars, I stick with the Ford Duraspark with blue plug module. Easy cheesy to install and parts at any local parts store.
For safeties sake, I keep a spare module under the spare. Never needed to use one tho.

I'm with Edsel58. Converted my Yblock to Duraspark system a couple years ago with no problems. A bit more work but in the end it's all Ford and parts are available.

Yup, all the parts from a SBF distributor go right into a Y block distributor. With the harness, you can stash the box out of the way too.

No Jeff! You need to take that big blue box off your distributor. And while you're at it, take the handle off your battery. Haha

Older picture,Red top battery gone dead and replaced but love my big blue HEI :D No problem finding parts for it and one wire hook-up,whats not to like. I went to a local Mustang show probably 50+ that were 1965-77 models and at least half run HEI's. Kinda like putting a SBC in a Ford   but not as sinful:D

Yuk..... Cannot stand the look of it. Just plain old ugly. I'd have, at minimum, gone for the small cap, external coil version.

It's not ugly, it's fashion coordinated and color matched to the car :D

LOL...... I guess that is a way to put it. I won't bust ya anymore about it. At least it is not behind the carb and orange.
