I thought I'd let you 4 banger perverts have a peek at what I have been saving for my future roadster project. It has been buried in my stash for a while now. It was originally raced at the lakes, and ran twin 97's with a side exit 4 into 1 header. :)

Isn't there some kind of rule against porn on the HAMB? What's the planned timeline for having this thing up and running?

  4. Did you build the rocker cover and intake? Wayno

Like to see this kind of advertising on the HAMB:D,
Elmo Rodge told me about this as I was machining up a set of Cad/Cyclone Flatties.

You are my Flathead-OHV Hero!!! That head is nice, Haven't seen one w/o cracks though???
A few years back (More than 15) a guy by the name of Carl Lovelis was repopping these heads with this type of valve cover, don't quite know how far he got with his project, but it wasn't cleared through Cook's Machine Works though. He used the name Cook's Performance Products and advertised in SOSS.

When Cook made the head, It utilized COOK on the valve cover.and was known as a COOK 4 PORT. The Cyclone name came along after the release of that 4 PORT because he didn't want his heads known as a COOKER,ie; Boiler/Overheater.
Cyclone had a better sound & indeed stuck.

Jim & Paul who run Cook's Machine Works worked with the Ol Man, Jim bought the business with Cooks grandson Bill Cannon in 1976, who later decided that he wanted to get into the automotive restoration business,so he sold his share to Jim 4 years later in 1980.

Jim became the sole owner of Cook's/Cyclone,He wasn't interested in the vintage speed equipment game,When 11 yrs later I came along and talked him into it @ mine & others;) vast expense(Thanks Kenia,Pat,Mark & Wayno).

Hence Cyclone survives @ it's original location and is alive & well.(how many machine shops Speed Equip Shops from the 30's can say that???) I try to stay out of their way, but speed equip is on premisses & I'd rather answer a phone & work on a PC that I can hear & see. Always call in advance, The shop is a total throwback.

Would love to see those parts in person!!!!!!:D.
    PM me if that's doable??????

Congrats on the parts, They truly were an amazing piece.
