Cool Old Photo

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Nathan D. Manning, May 1, 2007.

  1. I found this picture in my great-grandmother's photo album...

I'm told the car had been cut down and used to run a sawmill before my great-uncle bought it, put the wheels back on, and got it back on the road.

The driver is my grandfather... The passengers are his two brothers and a stepbrother.

This picture was taken sometime in the late 40s or early 50s in a rural community of East Tennessee.

Note the upside-down drink bottles which are being used for gas and radiator caps.

To me, this is the very definition of "Old School."

    Enjoy!

Nothing like a vintage "stripdown" or "whoopie" or "Hoopdy"!! What fun they must have had.
