Hey Cut55,this guy is Rich Palmer,he ran the largest volume hobby shop in New Jersey,he was hired by Aurora model company in 1964 to organize a "custom" monster model kit build off contest...BTW whats your other couple of all time favorite 55's,[post some pics]I gotta respect anyones opinion that has my all time favorite AMT model kit as his avitar pic-J.J.

 

So what book did that picture come out of? I must have a copy!

This is a very cool thread. I'm new here and still trying to figure out how to post pictures.

 

I have spent the last couple days going through the pages of this thread and I noticed that the Lion in a Sidecar picture below is on several pages. The second picture is from outside the Wall of Death where the performers hawk the show. These pics are pretty old but there is still a show that a guy and his wife put on at several of the large motorcycle rallys around the country.

Oh, well...

It was cool while it lasted.

 

Cool pics was one of the reasons I came to the hamb everyday,I'd hate to loose it so,if you feel like me,lets try again....Ground rules:no motorcycles,no airplanes[under water or on ground or air],no cute animals,boats,bicycles,naked chicks,architecture,funny signs,muscle cars,trains,foreign cars,ufo's,battleships,etc,etc, ....what am I forgetting?? this is o/t or off topic,if you post o/t on this thread an angry mob of hambers will visit your house and tar and feather you ,pre 1964 everyday car/hot rod car/custom car/race car related pics only please[related meaning any place a car would be in its element from the beginning to end of its life]....lets see if this thread lasts 3 years or 5 min-

 

If this one can stay On Topic, I'll Merge it with the first one so it will be easy to find with a Search, and it will live on.

I hope that's fair...

Just a closing thought from the old one:

As far as a fifties car, nothing looks better then this one - to me it epitomizes the modern hot rod of the early sixties!
