That's Mike all right but it's Steve's cousin bill in the truck, you can tell because Steve doesn't wear glasses.

looks like a german "wartburg 311"

 

It's a Nash Metropolitan, but you are right it does look a lot like the 'wartburg 311'

 

Ha ha! I looked that car over pretty good. It was just a shell but somehow I think that it had some history and I think they wanted $500.00 for it. Gone to the crusher when they sold out as I've been to the new yard across the tracks and it's not there. I think they saved about 100 cars is all.

That's too bad. They had a lot of stuff that wasn't savable but was still fun to look at. I spent a lot of time looking at that Ford too, having owned one in the past. It was a fairly solid shell but would have needed a good parts car to put back together.
