no, it's not a uk car. i was visiting my sister in new zealand last year and got to meet a few local rodders. this beautiful car was a big show winner in n.z. in the '60's. the son of the builder tracked it down and restored it a couple of years ago (with the help of his dad).
i've attached a couple more photos for you to drool over.
