Hey Dog, in post 6023, I think that shot is Cleveland's West Superior going down to the Flats. Facing west, looking at the Cuyahoga river and the old Power station. And post 6030 is on Superior (east) looking towards E. 12th. Looks like my old 65 Plymouth Belvedere sitting in front of the 322 Jct. sign

  13. Did Olds ever make a woody?

  14. From Pearl Harbor - a Deuce sedan that will live in infamy...

  15. From my files - the 1957 Motorama SuperSport Corvette. Allegedly, the first model with fuel injection, pulled off the 1956 assembly line and put together by Duntov and Bill Mitchell. Note twin windscreens, pearl paint, ralley clipboard, magnetized, anodized aluminum cups and Impala flags on the console, aluminum floorboards, side scoops, and one-off tailights. Supposedly scrapped after the show, it was hidden away for years. Where is it now?

A friend of mine has a 56 Corvette factory road race car that had fuel injection on it before they put them on the production models.

Looks to me like somebody has it and is trying to restore it. Is that front end damage from the scrapyard or from an accident?

  19. These shots were taken over 10 years ago. I was sworn to secrecy about the location. The owner has since sold it. It was wrecked in Albuquerque many years ago. The then-owner bought it with another wrecked '57 to use as a parts car for the restore, but restored the parts car instead. I was told the Motorama was sold for a considerable sum to collectors in New York, but I've never seen it again. The Corvette Museum had no information or interest on this historic car. Go figure...

  20. Yeah. They have no interest UNTIL they find it!
