    Saw that car at Mervyn's night this week. Couldn't stop starring at that flatty. One question though: why keep the mechanical fuel pump on the intake if it's not being used? Is that common or do most folk just plate it off?

    I can relate to the hill climber picture, use to do it back in '59 at Snow Valley, N.D. Met a guy there once by the name of Kinevel, big lanky guy with blond hair. He was riding a Triumph 650cc with a frame that weighed about 25 lbs and the biggest back wheel with a huge cheater sprocket. This bike would lift the front end 6 feet upwards even with him laying on the handle bars. A friend of mine ended up lending him his carb needles and seats so he could make his run. Won't you know it, he won his class that day, about $75 bucks in prize money. Drank lots of beer that night.
