Here is Roth doing our Rat Fink back in '94...he was signing shirts - we figured, what the heck - it doesn't hurt to ask - we had to run around to find someone who would loan him the paint/brushes!

  7. Just a quickie for accuracy. The NHRA 201.34 @7.78 record was in August of 1964 at Island Dragway in Swamp Rat VI by a young fellow from Tampa named Donald Garlits. It was done in 2 single passes with the backup a bit faster than the initial run. Since everyone in the photo has a jacket on, I doubt if this photo was taken in August '64, but possibly in April or May '65.

Here is a pic that always has gotten my blood flowing. What is shows is a 67 427 435 Vette roadster and a S/S Factory Hemi lightweight Cuda in a wreck of a garage. Both cars have since been rescued and restored, so don't ask. :)

448 mph in 1931- still the worlds record for a propeller seaplane. Two 12 cylinder engines, the shaft of the rear engine driving the front propeller through the hollow shaft of the front engine. What a gorgeous aircraft!

How would you like to put this baby in your HOT ROD?
