Does anyone know if anyone makes metalflakes, candies, pearls, etc. (I don't even know if its possibles to put some of those in spraycans??) in a spraybomb?? Thanks-
A guy here in my town has a deal with HOK and is putting their stuff in spray cans under his own name. You can't get the big flake in can because it won't spray out but everything else is available. He is into scale models and packages it mostly for that use and lowrider bikes. It comes in cans a little larger than small model paint cans. It's a little pricey at about $9.00 a can but if you don't have spray equipment and spraying something small, it works pretty good.
some paint shops have the ability to put extra paint into spray cans. you might ask around your area, and if you find somebody that can do that ask them to save you a can or two of what ever color you want (or close to) if they ever do a job that is close to what your are looking for.
I only know of two... Dupicolor sells a "metalflake" spray paint that you should beable to find at Kragens. I only saw it in a blue color, I think. Also, Rustolem sells The Metallic's spraypaint that works pretty damn good. We scalloped a friend's '64 Ford with it, and it gives a nice, satin, metalflake like sheen over the white. Works good.
Walmart has red, blue and gold "Candy" style paint they call it anodizing, in the automotive section, Do you have a Walmart nearby?
67 Imp wagon.......can you post the contact info of your friend who has the deal with HOK for the metalflake paint? I am really wanting some of that! Thanks!! john
