These are just some, not my cars but cool none the less. I have a rather nice 13" wheel, which i cant identify, at home, The spokes resent a butterfly wheel but its a round one, its black foam now but will get covered in 'flaked vynil and then it will be pretty kool! PS The exhagonal one rules! I always wanted to get one but they seem as rare as the 4 hole 3 spoker, or maybe more.....
Gotta love some of the Originals..... properly repaired they look KILLER!! Oh and by the way, if your vintage steering wheel is broken Por-15 makes a really nice kit to repair it....
Can't go wrong with any Pontiac! This is in my '36 Ford 3/W, the Pontiac center emblem will be replaced with a V8 or Ford script or just a chrome bullet..........
Early '40s ('41 maybe?) Chevy wheel with built-in spinner. Stolen off the web, possibly a HAMBer's car.
I found my red metalflake wheel a couple of years ago in the Indy Super Chevy swap area. Someone had painted the whole thing black so I guess no one payed attention to what it was. I gave the guy $1.00 for it.
I fixed it...LOL. A little polish and some clear urethane. Haven't put it to use yet though. The other one is a home made banjo for my roadster pickup. Charlie
Speaking of steering wheels, anyone know how to remove the chrome center horn button/bar from this 66 Chevy Impala SS wheel (it might be a '65, I can't remember)? I don't want to break it by pulling it off. I also need to find a way to make it match up with my '66 C10 column.
Looks like the old Saturn logo to me. I love those '57 Lincoln steering wheels. It would look sweet in a rod if it were a tad smaller.
Absoluteley insiping! Now i have an idea, lets see how long it will take me from the drawing board to the workin bench..... Anyway, thanx Jaxx, you just made my day!
