found this cool video of my hero today. i cant believe how talented bill hines is. it amazes me that he still keeps on going after all these years. would love to meet him one day. was reading some other posts about him earlier and all say hes a nice guy. amazing rod builder too.

great video...could have been better if Barris could do less talking and more watching.

 

I'm glad there are some examples showing him at work out on the web now for future generations to see. Bill is getting up there...this was fun to watch. I could have done without the commentary myself... Thanks for posting this...

Here is a master at work, and a ? yakking away. Hines shows that even with all of his experience you have to have patience to do it right. So many think they can learn this real life type of stuff quickly, like a game. But, blood-sweat and tears is part of the the adventure.

Bill is awesome at paddling the lead he definately has the touch for the temp but its better to turn the volume down as Barris just wont shut his pie hole! I noticed his paddle is black probalt from soaking in old motor oil??? LTR Dave
