Moose...finding a dash that some one else hasn't used is gettin tough. I'm sure it was done before now and will be done again.

  2. Yep, I may just fab up something from scratch. The dash is a "little" ways off yet;)

i solved the problem of stashing my battery somewhere out of site by fabbing some battery holders/mounts, scoring 2 optima 6vs redtops and wiring them in series, hidden underneath the seat bench.

    mounted, wired, and in place:

im sure ill know if something goes haywire with the batteries when my ass catches on fire or blows up, but it leave the bed of the truck clean and roomy. i imagine if i ever need a jumpstart that'll be a pain in the rear too.

Damn Clark, didn't you know that now they make fancy-pants shiny billet hold-down brackets for the optimas, and they come in the shrink-wrap package ready-to-go:D

Now if the market was REALLY hip they'd now offer the billet hold-downs with PATINA, to cover all the bases hehe

Just kidding, good job as always. That will simplify wiring quite a bit for sure.

Cool idea. I don't know if I showed you my battery set up in the Beater or not. Anyways, I run a 12 volt tractor battery hidden inside a barn-roof style tool box mounted between the seats.

  9. Putting the battery under the dash is a great idea that I've filed for future use...

But... what would an NHRA inspector say? In order to pass tech, don't batteries that are in the pass. compartment have to be inside a sealed container?

Obviously not an issue if you don't plan to do any racing, but good to know, none the less.
