    Hey guys

There was some discussion of overflow tanks in an August thread but I haven't found anything else definitive regarding what y'all might be using that works for these cars.

Everything's stock on my 53 V8 as far as I know (including the original radiator) and the previous owner hooked up a plastic coke bottle with a hole in the cap for the overflow tube. It's secured with tie wraps and dangles at the bottom right side of the radiator where the tube ends. It works ok but I'd like to get something nicer - plastic is fine.

Can anyone recommend one that they've used and how/where they mounted it? Does anyone make an overflow tank specifically for these cars? Is it ok to cut the overflow tube shorter to accommodate a higher mounting?

You can cut it, or even lengthen it as necessary if you need to place the bottle further away due to it's shape.

I think you're right - no environmental controls back then!
