OMG Dude you Totally have the bestestest job EVER.... I changed my dream- I wanna be Cliffy when I grow up!
I know there are other people that post on here that have worked, or still work for "Primordial Publications", and I did for 4 years. The work itself, was the greatest, you got to totally immerse yourself in what you loved. You went all over the US, on the company's nickel, taking photographs of bitchin' cars, and events, and drag races. But if you have a boss, that literally doesn't know shit from shinola about the cars the magazine is supposed to be "The Authoritative Source" about, it can be difficult. As it turns out, about 2-3 years after I left to work for the competitior's magazine, the magazine went under, and is no longer published.
i work at a 4x4 shop i mostly build custom axles, and fab work.and do some rockcrawling/offroading for the shop. i get to build big kids toys .and im on some of those tv 4x4shows that we make fun of!!!!
Not bregging but. I hang out all day in a shop with a bunch of gear heads talking about cars. I'm off all summer and every holiday. Two weeks at christmas, 1 week in the spring and I'm off right now until monday. I didn't have to work today. I've got a well equipted shop at my disposal. Not too bad a gig for an old mechanic. Mick
