Hello, Earlier we mentioned this cool Model A Sedan Delivery and the sightings during its hey days. But since the accident and destruction. Where is it today? Sadly, this car was totaled in an accident and stories about where it is today, go unanswered. Some say it is in a garage in East San Diego, while there is another rumor that it has been restored and is living in San Francisco. Where is it, Today? From an old post in another thread: Rumor has it that the late, (from Dean Lowe’s post) Lee Bright’s Sedan Delivery is still around in great condition. Whatever the cause, reason or why it is not being shown or driven is a mystery to me. When I met Lee and photographed his Sedan Delivery, he was the nicest guy. The sedan delivery just had the “look” and instantly drew plenty of eyes to scrutinize every inch of the build. My wife said Lee was a just a friendly, “big bear.” Ha! When I gave him lots of color slides and photos of his sedan delivery, he was so happy. I had a B&W photo in "antique brown" of the cool ¾ rear shot the I put together. It was mounted in a handmade redwood frame that looked just like it stepped out of the late 40's-50’s. It was very prominent on the wall of our “antique” room for many years…until one day it was given to another hot rod enthusiast. It is out there somewhere. So, for you guys in the S.F. Bay Area, the sedan delivery? It is out there somewhere, just like the mounted photograph? The whereabouts of this radical hot rod is… Jnaki I wish I still had the color slides of the original 28 Sedan Delivery. The color paint plus the blue sky was pretty nice. My photo office, purge over the years, took its toll on the negatives and slides. Plus, the original pristine color slides were given to the magazine for their files as per contract. Are those still in some files here or there? IMWTK… Inquisitive Minds Want To Know…
Maybe not the "Coolest Picture on the HAMB", but my favorite picture on the salt from our first day there. (Please excuse the wheels.)

From an old post in another thread: @Dean Lowe Rumor has it that the late, (from Dean Lowe’s post) Lee Bright’s Sedan Delivery is still around in great condition. Are those still in some files here or there? IMWTK… Inquisitive Minds Want To Know… Note: Inquisitive minds found some old photos and a new one as to what happened to the original Lee Bright sedan delivery. Lee is gone, now, but the stories abound. The San Diego Prowlers are the oldest hot rod club in the USA. Over the years, the hot rod club has produced plenty of cool builds. I was fortunate to meet Lee Bright and had a great time talking and learning about the history of his build. He was a “big bear” of a guy and was a skillful builder. My wife liked the sedan delivery so much that she wanted to buy it right then when we were taking photographs. No, it was not for sale. After the old post about the mysterious disappearance of the sedan delivery and a possible rebuild, the search was on and other photos popped up here and there. Lee’s brother had built the sedan delivery in his own design. Then years later, “Bright’s Beauty” showed up in magazines. Jnaki Now, the latest photo that popped up was a new version of the old chopped sedan delivery. No history or build photos, or what was saved from the original build. So, now, we are all getting closer to solving the mystery of one of the top builds of an old Ford Sedan Delivery hot rods. YRMV Any recent facts or other photos?
I'll see your flamed 40 Deluxe Coupe, and raise you some salt. The car belongs to Andy Volpini, @ol55 .
