Does anyone make a single 4v intake for a 235???

I know the motors are of marginal quality at best, but was thinking that with a decent Edelbrock or Holley carb, that one might just be driveable for the duration of it's extremely short lifespan!

if they're of such poor quality, why are so many still running... and why are you messing with one, Fat Hack? :D

    I believe Clifford's has a 4 barrel carb intake, and maybe Patrick's or Langdon's

Because 2.8 V6s are too reliable to be cool...need to "dumb down" this car to keep it hip!!!:D

  4. So - with all this fancy hardware for hanging on the outside, are there any handy references, books or online that anyone can recommend for porting and headwork on these anchors? I have a 848 head off for machining at the moment, so any info for valve seat widths, angles, port shapes? I know that bigger exhaust valves shroud too much to be worthwhile.

Clifford's does have a 4bbl intake. I have heard from several folks that it is THE best upgrade for improved mileage and responsiveness.

For books, there's Chevy Inline Six-Cylinder Power Manual and California Bill's Chevy GMC Buick Speed Manual

  8. Cheers for the offer Clark, I'll be in touch - but look at the cover on that California Bill book - I HAVE to get a copy of that!

You know a 12 port makes more sense in the long run.....

"I need to see what you are running in the truck. Are you going to the Rumble in Raytown Saturday?"

I didn't know about the Rumble in Raytown.
I was out of town all weekend. In fact, every weekend this month I am out of town. No play time.
    You going to the drags?
I'll be there with the truck.
You need to stop by and look at the six I'm prep'in for the winter truck engine swap...

I will be at the drags but don't know if the wagon will make it. I wanted to get it up here on my father in laws trailer but don't know if that will happen either. I need to get the mech pump fixed and better carb on it. I don't like the leaks onto the engine.

The langdon carb you mentioned earlier, is it the Rebuilt 2 barrel progressive for $65? I need to look into a pressure regulator too!

I believe that's the one. The price sounds familiar.
The mechanical pump should be a real easy fix. Local parts store - sbc.
