John, you might end up with a heat shield on that battery...
That car is going to be a blaster, you may need slicks! Good thing the weight is over the rear tires.

Greenbrier van complete with ****gy carpet interior in a local barn, hardtop rotting outside. Rampside pickup in a collection I saw recently.

@SS327 - Dude, you are so right! Red, whit & blue **** floor to ceiling, crusty **** magazine, Hurst Super Boot on the shifter. But, damn, the thing is solid. The offensive ''smokers window'' cut into the drivers side and yard dent need to go. Note the last registration was April 1986. 40 years that thing has sat in the barn. '67 Camaro behind it is a story of it's own.

    John - Awesome looking installation!
That Greenbriar is a local barn find, not mine and not gonna be!
Working on the '55 at a decent pace. Picked a hood & trunk lid from said barn for it.

@bchctybob - aka Beach City Bob, this week I was back there looking over the Camaro next to it. Popped the back doors open and took a closer look inside. Tons of 8 track tapes. I just wasn't crawling in there to sift through the piles. Someone had dumped all the tape cases out. There must have been a hundred or so. Sonny & Cher stood out, negating a deep dive!

    Steve and Don,

What in the wide world of sports were you guys doing hambing it up at 3 something o'clock this morning?

oops; that would be 4 something in your time zone. Still the middle of the night for me.

Oh man, that thing is almost a time capsule.
Years ago a friend told me about a 401 Buick for sale so I went to check it out. To my surprise, it was in an early Chevy van! A quintessential hippie van with the Zig-Zag man in the windows and peace signs and flowers painted all over it. He took me for a ride in it to show me that it ran and that the transmission (a B&M hydro!) works - no engine cover and blown out gl*** packs. It smelled damp and moldy mixed with blowby and exhaust but it was peppy with a nasty cam and custom headers. So we made a deal and he pulled it out for me.
The whole scene was surreal; a dirty old hippie guy at a dirty old hippie house with a dirty old hippie van, but a t******* hot rod Buick engine.
(P.S. The engine was mortally wounded but the hydro is in my roadster.)

this morning we were doing the hot pipes from the turbos. There has not been a real heavy discussion as to where the exhaust pipe would exit. We had a piece of pipe sitting on a jack stand ...........it moved......but when it did, I fell in love with the look. It says you know it isn't stock but what the hell is that pipe ? ..............................directly off the turbo ......should shoot fire !!!!
