The 36/37 Cord is a uni-body. There is a bolt on subframe in the front, the supercharged cars have a cage that bolts over that for more support.

Hello. The point is that I heard that many Cords were imported by Argentinians and Uruguayians (before World War II). A friend of mine went there and some some bodies. I intend to go up there to try buying one and build a chassis here in Brazil.
    Regards, Tagliari.

  6. I did a 1936 Cord 810 Westchester last year. I tried finding chassis dimensions and even contacted the Auburn Cord and Duesenberg musem. Very helpfull people.

The point I was trying to make is that if you find a body, it has a chassis under it as they are integrated (one piece). You could build your own subframe for the front end.
