Rocky's 33 was a huge inspiration for my 32 rpu build. I remember showing that video to my dad and that is why my RPU ended with a T5 in it. Good stuff!

I think the coolest part of Rockys truck is there is nothing expensive... no crazy rare speed equipment... he wasnt trying to impress the fabrication gods... its just a fun build that cost peanuts.

I see people posting how it inspired their builds... helped inspire my 34 coupe build and my 34 pickup I put together last winter.... I've been driving the **** out of that truck and its so much fun.

Case in point: I decided to run the mechanical brakes. They were rebuilt by the previous owner and worked perfectly. People were like you're not going to drive that with mechanical brakes are you? You cant drive that... blah blah blah. It stops better than some hot rods I've driven I'll tell you that. Also... I ran the stock 34 trans behind the 283 and people were like you're gonna roach the trans right away... It works fantastic. The whole thing. Works and it didn't cost **** to build and I love it so much.

The quest to impress can kill all of the fun. Don't get caught in the ****ytrap of that... I have and it ****s.

I can't wait to get my RPU on the road next.. in primer.
