History Cornhusker Raceway drags in Nebraska-anyone remember?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by HotRod28AR, Jan 18, 2009.

  1. I'm really looking for ay pictures of drags held there back in the late '60s. Apparently it still exists but only as a go-kart and small oval dirt track...

Actually, the old Cornhusker Raceway was in Omaha, and there is a big precast cement place there now. It was right down the hill north of I-80 on Hiway 50., on the east side. I took my class there on Grand opening Sunday, in August or Sept. 1969. The place you're talking about is just outside Lincoln, and they race go carts and they used to race mini sprints, not sure if they still race them there or not.

  3. Oh ok I thought maybe it was the same place. Ya I'm looking for anything on the drags near Omaha. Thanks,

I remember it around 1970. No pix was 16 at the time, new guys that raced there. Gone by the time I was tearing up my cars. Now a concrete plant. Cal
