    All,

Have a possible line on a Holmes 515 twin boom. Having a hard time finding out the date range it was manufactured to and from. Is it (or could it be) the right "vintage" for my truck?

Would also like to know if it would be to "light duty" or "overkill" for my rig.

    1958 GMC 370 (Pontiac 336) 5 speed with 2 speed rear.

Seems to be for a little earlier vintage truck, however, I see a 1958 service manual for the 515, so I am not sure..

Well you got me curious so wandered and most of what I found with the 515 was prewar and up to 1953, but that manual would help date it. Holmes I believe is still building tow trucks am going to guess they could answer your question. A 57 could easily have been fitted with the 515 as booms got and still recycled when trucks are worn out.
