I’m gathering parts for a little T bucket project. A friend picked up a Corvair steering box for me on Saturday. He brought it in to work this morning and it’s not what I was thinking it was.

Can anyone help me ID this thing?

    TIA, Harrison

You are just used to seeing them reversed.

That is the early style corvair, later style has a short shaft. I am not sure what year they switched.

They probably switched after Nader said people were getting impaled on them.
