It belongs to Don Moyer here on the hamb. It was originally from Bakersfield. We're there is a Evans electric, that was part of the one here in Fresno. The car was on the coast in Santa Maria, sold to Texas. Then don bought it.

  3. I actually saw those pictures here on the Hamb when Krash purchased it in Texas...then a year later he put it in the for sale section here on the Hamb.....He wanted to trade only and we worked out a trade!

Loudbang good pictures. Not sure on the CID on the G/G midyear. It was a little past my time frequenting the strip on a regular basis. The only times I had to make it back in those days was when the modified eliminator Vettes (and other makes) were running. I know some of those modified eliminator cars were running the high revving 278 and 288 cids.

For sure when these guys came to the line that sound would draw everybody in the pits closer to the start line to see them run.

Loudbang the one picture above with the three cars (we have known and loved)-the center picture is Dr Destructo. This was a record holder out of NJ running in K/SA with a 283/245 hp (hydraulic cam version of the dual quad 283) with a powerglide. Ran in the early 70s in this trim.
