Looks like the convertible hardtop might be glassed on this car.

  4. Too many! Years ago i had a 60 and ran across a local guy with a 59 stock restored car so I asked about spares or leftover parts. he didn’t have any but he did show me his photo album, the car had been an awesome hot rod/race car. Now it was just a boring stocker.

  5. I believe I had a tire fixed at that Gas Station on my way to Florida one year…Cleveland was out stop for the night

Well I got a little ambitious today and messed with the corvette. Started getting the engine ready to pull. Here’s a few pics. The heads are mismatched. I know that it was never pulled apart while dad had it. If any of you guys can decode this I would appreciate it. I can just make out an "O" on a rocker arm, those pushrod guideplates sure stand out though.

I wish my eyes were still that good to see an O cause I can't . So Enloe can you confirm if the rockers have the O symbol?

Well, no, my eyes are not great either, I did look closer at the only photo that I (thought) showed the "O" and it does look like it's not in the same place as my "O" rockers.

Where would the “O” be found?

What's the significance of it having an "O"?

Cripes, I don't remember what I had for breakfast today Mark!
I've heard they were a bit more refined in the polish on the valve stem contact point and the pivot cavity.

I was pretty sure it was a thread you were on, I measured the slot on an O rocker and someone else measured a regular one and they were the same...

If you enlarge this photo (and squint) the rear rocker looks like it has an "O", but not very clearly.
