Guys for whatever it is worth, some of you know that I was in the process of writing a book on Corvette drag racing. To say I have had challenges in getting the book to print is a bit of an understatement. I imagine guys that post on this thread are interested in the drag racing history more than likely and since no one has written a book before on Corvette drag racing I felt it was time. I see of this morning that the book is for sale on Amazon for $31.86 (cover price of $39.95) and is entitled Corvette Drag Racing: The Golden Era. It is a chronological history of the Corvette drag cars in the NHRA from 1961-1981 when the NHRA did away with Modified Eliminator. I do touch briefly on the years before and after this 22 year period. It is 223 pages, contains 25 chapters and right around 450 pictures. I would post the cover but it contains three pictures on the cover, George Supinski's 69 and Jim Warter's 63 along with the black Midwest 57 and with the "newer" cars it may not survive the axe on the HAMB. I do not want to sound like a commercial but I know a number of you have asked when the book will be done and thankfully it is. If you buy it I hope you enjoy it.

Thanks Jim, for all you done for the hobby in general. You have LIVED the whole range of this hobby. Now that this is done you need to finish the Caddy.

 

I'm trying Doug. I just sprayed some test panels for the maroon I am going to use on the chassis-hopefully I will get some color on the chassis real soon.
