Features Corvette hot rods - picture thread

Identical to the one I owned back in the early 70's. I had to sell it in 78' when my 3rd daughter was born! Maybe I should have made the trunk into a rumble seat! That is one car I would like to have back.

That very well could be my ole 61' Vette but I have no way to verify because I never kept a record of the Vin number. The last I heard the car was sold to someone that lived north of Chicago.

 

Like many others we had the experience of getting beat at Indy Cl*** Eliminations by this car in 1969.

I was at Simeone Museum where George spoke of his years driving for Penske. He said not buying this car himself is his biggest regret.
