I saw this car at the Bakersfield drags in 2007 on a trailer looking pretty used up and worn out. I don't seem to have the 2007 photos on my computer.

Mark, the car on the trailer was called Halfbreed-below is a poor picture when it was red back in the day. Teixeira's Vette is still around and has been racing in a different configuration for some time (the Reyes roadster below). Not sure what the article in Rod & Custom said but if they claim that is the Texiera car then I am thoroughly confused. Hope all is going well with you.

Jim is right on the money, the "Half-breed" car made its way to NY and was at the Rhinebeck swap meet for saleI know the guy that was selling it. It did get sold, it has been on Hamb before with the new owner.

This post is a few years old but I can give you some information on Bill Kashishian. First off, Bill is still alive and turns 94 this month. I am his son. Bill Kashishian had his garage in East LA. He had his own 57 Corvette. He won Winternationals in his Vette in B modified sports. Top speed of 136 in 10.24. He also sponsored Earl Peterson's blown corvette either a 60 or 62. He drove that car as well and won at Winternationals with a time of 11.24 at 124mph. The corvette with his garage sponsorship in this post previously listed was owned and driven by Mickey Williamson. He also won with a 57 Chevy in C gas.
