Did a little photo shoot on my '64 last night. Nothing like the glow of a street light to help a rough old car look like a serious street racer. 1964-Corvette-Coupe.jpg

I hope everybody has a safe weekend. I will unfortunately be making the move to my next location and in the process will be off the net for who knows how long maybe two three days I'm hoping. So you guys are on your own try to keep things down to a dull roar while I'm gone and I promise more Vette hot rods when I get back.

Yeah its a Hot Rod, has been retrofitted a big o/t motor. Still, neat overall.

Isn't that a Barris build that was just sold at Corvette's at Carlisle?

Yes it is a Barris build and a cool car. I like the gold metal flake too. I used to see a lot of early corvettes painted like that.

No idea. Just a picture I had downloaded to my "Hot Rod Corvette " folder 6 years ago. Any Corvette I find interesting winds up saved in that folder. Future reference pics !

I have pictures like that one just 1000 feet down the road. My buddy Ray has this 1966 factory 427/450 hp coupe. Hot rodded, cam, manifold and gears from 1970. Lets it sit for 26 years with only a few runs down I-287 here in NJ. While doing a trip to York Pa for the Street Rod Nats, I bust his balls like no other and get him to buy a blown 427 to replace the dormant original l-72 that has caused the the car to be become storage shelf for all kinds of crap over the rear window.

He bites and the resurrection of this once tube axle Bad Ass Vette comes alive. We build a two car garage with AC and heat a week later and start the engine exchange. Some minor restoration stuff done also. The car was finished in Early 1997. Winter, very cold. New Blower engine ready to go. Tried to start it and the blower with the 6-71 seized. Wtf, Now we have to disassemble the blower ( at 35* F ) and sand out the score marks from seized rotors. Never did this before. Nice way to learn about Root blowers. Anyway, the garage got a little warmer and the engine started right up.

That engine runs as well as it did 19 years ago and we still go for runs in it. Jim

Found this picture of my old 67 Coupe, taken around 1977. Getting it ready for paint ( Lynndale Blue). My 67 Coupe rs.jpg
