Just a random bit of trivia that I came across...the C-2 Coupe is almost 400 pounds heavier than the Roadster. The Roadster only weighed 2700 & change! That's light for a factory released car of any kind.

I weighed mine a few years ago and was surprised at how light it was...2,760 pounds without me in it. Mine doesn't have front bumpers, or the stock headlight assemblies. It has the spare tire and carrier removed, old plastic racing seats, aluminum heads, aluminum front wheels. As for stuff that is heavier than stock equipment, it has a Lakewood bell housing and a TKO-600 trans (a little heavier than a Muncie).

Another nice shot of your super bad ass car. Nice! When some action ???

Now for some " very bad influence" stuff on my part. Three days before Lead East is held in Parsippany NJ, Rich Conklin holds his own private Hot Rod Farm party. Better than Lead East, about 2500 cars show up. Been going there since the 80s when 25 cars showed up.

Now, I do not want you to get busted by the Law or worse, but when I bring my cars out, I feel the fans deserve some entertainment.

Although all action takes place in the driveways, sometimes the smoke invades other spaces.

Baron nice pics. The green 62 reminds me of one that was featured in a magazine back in the 70s I believe. Will have to dig out the old issue and see if the striping on the cove area is in the magazine.

Also notice that the 61 behind the mid year Snake Charmer is Buckshot in either 68 or 69.

What? Are you kidding? Me a show car, now that is just plan crazy. I do not do shows. I built the red car to compete in the Car Craft Real Street Competition in the 1990s. And to win the Drag, 600' slalom, dyno test, braking, ride competition, engineering and some other stuff. The only loss would be gas mileage. Big deal. That burn out picture, all the rubber behind the car was thrown there from the burn out. After being told I could not drag the car without a full cage, I moved on to the black , econo car build.

I build my cars to beat the crap out of them and strong enough to do it every time with out hurting them. Oh, yea, it will do over 200 mph easily.

The only down side is, I get tired of people telling me " How could you abuse a perfect, beautiful car like that". WTF, that is what I built it for.

I know that car and owner, nice guy, but not a racer. Called Quick Silver, done way back then. Offered him spots at our private rentals, no go.

I did not know the Goodguys event in Rhinebeck was back on. We used to go as lookers every year until they moved to CT.

Vetrod to bad you missed it I had posted it a while back, I would have liked to see your car. 62's are my favorite. I'm trying to locate my old one it's rumored to be in MA. Baron had a picture at a car show around 98

Yes, I am sorry we missed it. Went to the Fall show for many years before they dumped it. Only about 90 minuets from home base. And one of the guys we went with had a cabin 20 minuets from the show. Good times away from the wives with lots of "Bench Racing, steaks and drink" late into the night.

Looked at the picture of your car, nice car. Hot Rodded 62 vettes are the best. Well, Barons is also the best, and every other rodded early vette out there. ( Nice save?? )

Well it's been a long hard slog getting the new compound up to specs and passing safety and security inspections but I'M BACCCKKK. Took a bit of time to go through all 4 pages of stacked up "watched threads" and get caught up but it looks like Monday I should be good to go and have some new photos to post. You guys did a bangup job while I was gone LOL. :p

My friend Brad's 61 Corvette. Completely stock when he got it. All his cars are "drivers". He has driven this down to Florida and back a couple times.
