In my opinion, a Model A looks naked without a beltline stripe. This stripe job is better than most shown here. My only fault is it appears that the line didn't follow the beltline exactly and that throws off the eye.
The freehand striping is very well done.

I like it. The stripes around the tail lights look good , I am planing to do something simular. I also like the belt line stripes. I would say he did a very good job. Good looking car.

i like it and i know the other painters here can attest to how difficult those lines are to pull. i say well done although i would have chosen other colors maybe maroon rather than red

I think the stripes are great, but IMHO, perhaps the colors are what's bothering you as they almost seem a bit too 'stark', or harsh against that blue. Maybe silver and burgundy or something would have a bit less pop yet still give the cl***y feel?

I agree, the stripes are awesome. Maybe a tone down on the color.

If I were you.... I'd shake the man's hand. He gave you what you asked for. I think it looks great. Clean simple, does not distract from the car and adds a focal point for the eyes to follow the lines of the car.

Stripes look good, I agree that the body lines help break up all the blue!

Man I really appreciate all the replies, so after some thought I decided to remove just the red stripe to see what that looked like and I think it looks alot better to me, I dont really understand why ( probably what safariknut talked about) to me it seems like the white still breaks up the Blue field and ties the rest of the white in without looking too busy . The deck lid and grill work its perfect to me

Again i want to stress Im in no way knocking the job the striper did. He did just what I asked him to do I knew going in when I told him that it may not be exactly what I end up liking

Really neat! Like the work around the lights. James Crawford did something kinda like it around mine. I think on a flat panel like mine, doing around the lights help break up the panel.
