That car has the stood the test of time theme to it...eager beaver...go go go...You .yourself seem to be having a great time of it as well...Good on you. I hope I get to enjoy this hobby as much. Thanks Pete...Don't be shy with the stories and pictures...we love them here...
TRJ #57 has an article about it, its small block powered now and I think it still resides in Washington State.
You know oj there are so many great people on here from all walks in hotrod/custom history. So to give them a special place would be as big as the HAMB itself. I like them right here in the thick of it. We are a family of like minded individuals with very diverse directions in traditional Hotrodding and customizing. It really is a standout crowd. The history just never ceases...its constantly evolving. You can really feel the passion for the hobby/sport.
Don Richardson is my former employers son in law. Doug and Janet restore old horse drawn buggies and wagons now and still reside just outside of Montesano, WA. They are real nice people. Doug did a superb job on getting the lines right on that car.
The story of Don Richardson's restoration of the Doug Rice Coupe and our coupes meeting at the Salt in 2012 is covered in TRJ #57 and in this thread: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/...iii-please-do-not-post-on-this-thread.724285/
It not only still exists, if you look on landracing.com or Bangshift.com coverage of Bonneville this year, it was parked at the Nugget Saturday and Sunday. It is nice to see a car so well preserved all these years AND still being driven and enjoyed instead of a museum piece.
