My first time visiting this great event, its a traditional rod and kustom event held in Blaker Norway. It was well worth the 6 hour drive, great cars music and people, a super weekend.
Looks like a Fun time, Great Rods & Customs, Music and fellow enthusiasts! Always amazed at the quality and quantity of righteous rides that attend. Thanks for the show, Carp.
Keep that Beauty Buick in gear. Thank You @Acres. All Impressive modifications on each car. Thanks for taking the trip, and thinking about us over here.
Looks like a great show, lots of beautiful cars. You guys are cruising in style! Günter @djfordmanjack , isn´t that your old Pickup you sold to Mike in the early 2000s?
My plan were driving my Chevy to this event, fits in better at a kustom gathering, but ran into some weird stalling issues just day before traveling, were a bit scared driving that far didnt knowing the cause, so I took my trusty ol Buick instead, got me a nice smooth quiet summer roadtrip. The cause of my Chevy stalling were a faulty relay, when hot it cut the current to the distributor
Sure is ! The current owner (unfortunately I am not in touch with) did loads of detailing and finishing it nicely. it sure looks great ! There are still many tell tale details from my original build, like the suicide fronend, the WWII Willys Jeep trailer bed, 42 Chevy taillights and most of all the og. WWII era, US Army (tent) tarp. This was one of, or, if not the first, all steel, 'traditional' registered and street driven Hot Rods in Austria, when the trend hit central Europe in very early Y2k. Thank you for all the great pics of the show, it sure looks like it was a blast, and the style of cars is just great.
Respect where it's due. The new owner(s) kept many of the original details, but he still put in a ton of work ! it appears the PU bed was completely rebuilt or replaced to resemble the beat up og tilt Willys bed. They also fabricated a bead that rolls across the truck cab back and looks like an A or 32-36 Pu cab now. originally I hand formed the cab back from a 1955 Cadillac trunk lid skin ! They kept the kustom made back glass insert. Interestingly enough the trunklid lock of said 1955 Cad lid went into a 32 roadster that I built around 2007 and I just saw it attending Romo this year....haha....all going north.
Great pics!! Several of my favorite cars here and friends rides. My friends Blue fenderless Model A Coupe is so nice. And all the cars painted by The Kraze Painter of the Kustomrama fame. And that Badass 54 Plymouth 4door! A killer event! Cant wait til next year! For those of you thats interested, theres films of a lot of these cars to be found on my YT.
