Cracked flathead.Can I save it?

I picked up this 42 motor complete and at the right price .after a good clean-up I found this crack .Metal around water is a bit thin also .will metal stitching fix it.

If you haven't done it, I would take all apart to inspect the complete engine.

Looks like a frost crack, there will be more somewhere.
