I'd like one of these to pull behind my truck! With a nice nailhead or other suitable motor, of course, and period-style wheels and paint. Any body else got any with a front engine???
Very unique! I've never seen a boat like that however, the lines along the chines and the transom look very similiar to the old Aristocrat wooden boats made in the 50's. A few years ago, maybe 8-10, the grandson of the founder purchased the old plans and started making some of the older models. That hull with a high output motor would be rather dangerous and is prone to wave shear so becareful if you plan on running it at high speeds. That's probably why you don't see em around. Good luck, I'd love to see it when you... get ur done!
Hell ya, And I even have a set of nailhead weiand marine exhaust manifolds . I've been saving them for that special boat or even a Buick roadster project.
Try this link . . . http://www.glen-l.com The sell full-scale plans as well as frame kits. They seem to be having some problems with part of their site but I'm sure it return to normal before long. Mike
Stop hoarding Ohio's supply of cool Nailhead stuff! Remember what I said...at local shows keep an eye on those Buick valve covers you bought off the HAMB!
HE,HE,HE!!! Glad see you on the board. Hope your feeling better.I also bought an Offy valve cover set from dmarv here on the hamb. He sells them at a good price and are brand new. Yes I have 2 nailheads and no I don't want to sell you a set.
