Hot Rods Cragar screamers

I've got a couple sets of cragar screamer wheels and I'm wondering about the original finish. It's hard to tell by looking at em. They need something done to them either polished or a brushed finish. I DONT want them to look like the new slots that almost look like chrome. Anybody remember what they looked like when new?

 

They were polished. Not mirror finish but polished.

 

That's the way I like slots!

 

I've never seen those. When were they made?

'70s is when I remember them.

 

Just use some "Comet" type cleanser, and a stiff brush. Wet the wheel, dust with the Comet, and go at it in a circular, around the wheel direction. It'll clean them, and leave a somewhat even, dull finish. Funny, I don't remember them being polished; maybe they came both ways? I am Butch/56sedandelivery.
